Stories of Joy and Hope: Meet TP’s Wish Kids!
Teleperformance · 12.21.2021

Lending a helping hand to those in need continues to be part of our global Citizen of the World initiatives. Giving back to where we live is even more special during the holiday season—the spirit of generosity embraces us all like a warm hug, spreading joy and cheer around.

At Teleperformance in the USA, we have been sparking joy and creating hope through our partnership with Make a Wish Central and South Texas, a non-profit foundation that helps fulfill the wishes of children with critical illnesses. Our focus has been firm: to bring smiles to children’s faces, and inspire them to feel loved, be stronger, be happier, and have hope.

Join us as we introduce our Wish Kids whose wishes had been granted, thanks to the generosity of our employees!

SILAS, 14

“I wish to cruise around Italy on the Adriatic Sea.”

At the age of 7, Silas found out that he had a spinal cord pilocytic astrocytoma, a brain tumor normally found in the brain. Because of its rare location, it is dangerous and difficult to remove surgically. Further complicating matters, this particular type of tumor does not respond well to chemotherapy treatments. Silas has had three operations in the past four years, each time the tumor has recurred. Recovery is difficult as he is in a neck and back brace for many months following. Immediately after his diagnosis, Silas asked, “why can’t my body just be normal?” He has been strong throughout his treatments and surgeries.

His wish will help him see the light in all of the darkness.

Silas is a natural scholar and enjoys academics and reading. He also is true lover of food and enjoys trying almost anything new and different in cuisine. He loves to fly and travel and has considered becoming a pilot when he is older.

Silas wished to cruise around Italy on the Adriatic See and we are happy to have helped make his wish come true where he and his family had a wonderful time.

ELISABETH, 13

“I wish to have a backyard makeover.”

At age 3, Elisabeth began experiencing mild seizures. She was diagnosed with epilepsy, but that didn't stop her from staying active through cheerleading and gymnastics. Today, though, Elisabeth's epilepsy has progressed where she experiences full seizures as often as twice a month. Her critical illness has forced her to quit gymnastics, cheerleading and other hobbies she so much enjoyed.

Elisabeth has since found that her backyard provides the perfect escape from her battle against her critical illness. She loves to relax in the shade, eat out on the patio, or watch her dog run around in the grass. Elisabeth could spend every hour of the day outside if she could. Her one true wish was to have a backyard makeover — to make her happy place a truly special place all her own, to bring her hope and joy when she needs it most.

Thanks to TP employee’s donations we were able to present we were able to present Make-A-Wish Central & South Texas with a check of more than $16,000 to grant Elisabeth’s wish and help make her dream come true.

DEVON, 18

“I wish to have an online shopping spree.”

For Devon, his journey began long before he had ever heard of Make-A-Wish or even knew what a wish was. At 10 days old, he was diagnosed with Cystic Fibrosis- a rare, incurable genetic disorder that would affect him for the rest of his life.

He wished for a shopping spree and TP employees donations secured more than $8,000. Devon received a longboard, a skateboard, a TV, air pods, sunglasses and lots of shoes and clothes.

Teleperformance would like to thank our employees who have long shown generosity, compassion, and care. We extend our gratitude as well to Make a Wish Central & South Texas, who continue to be a spark of hope and joy.

We hope you had a safe, loving, and joyous holiday season!
